What do you do?
We help you organise your video focus group or interview by managing email invitations and onboarding with GroupQuality technology, and we go beyond that. We prepare video recipients by ensuring they can use their cameras and are ready for video and audio sessions and by providing the technical troubleshooting where necessary. Participants are supported in entering the video session for the roll call before the Moderator is ready to begin.
How can you help the Moderator?
We also know that the research Moderator’s need to have good a handle on the technology and where required we will run through the sessions with you and ensure you are confident in running the group or interview and by using the different aspects of Zoom or Amazon Chime technology.
What about Zoom or Amazon Chime video accounts?
We set all this up for you and host the recording of the video and audio sessions. We then deliver both video & audio files and the audio-only files for transcription. Plese note, Amazon Chime by default only records Audio and screen shares. We can also run the audio file through our auto transcription technology so that you have a primary voice to text transcript, to begin.
But couldn’t I do this myself?
Yes, you could, and you can organise everything yourself, by managing participants, troubleshooting technology and account management. The service we offer is to support research professional so that you focus on the research, and we provide technology management and support. Amazon Chime does requires some setup and deployment in the Sydney Amazon region and it is so much easier if we just do this for you.
How much does this kind of support cost?
We charge a project setup fee of $150 + GST and a participant management fee equivalent of *$50 to $70 + GST per participant whether you are running focus groups or one on one interviews. If you would like us to sit on the call to provide technical support the cost is $150 + GST per hour (Includes recorded video and audio files). Additional fees apply for other services. How many participants in a video focus group?
The more participants you have in a video focus group, the more challenging moderation/facilitation can be. For this reason, we recommend no more than 6 participants in a focus group to ensure you get the most out of your group.

What about privacy?
We do not store names or email in zoom.us, we use GroupQuality real-time group scheduling technology hosted in Australia to manage participants and schedule meetings.
GroupQuality provide you with a Zoom moderator account during the project and the GroupQuality zoom account is specified as located in Sydney Australia and our stream does not leave Australia.
Zoom is hosted in Amazon Web Services infrastructure which means that the security is best in class. Zoom is both GDPR and HIPAA compliant which means the security is such that they can be used to store Medical related privacy information and why many tele-health providers use zoom.us around the world and in Australia.
Cloud recordings can be downloaded after processing.
Amazon Chime is hosted and deployed on our Sydney servers and all data is collected and processed in Sydney, Australia. Amazon chime by default records screen share and audio files only, it does not record video, however, should you need to record video there is a method we can employ which will require an additional hourly fee.
